PROIBIDA Publishing is an editorial platform for works, testimonies and projects that stay outside the traditional circuits of representation, visibility and publishing.
More than editing books, PROIBIDA builds a contemporary archive of voices, ideas and narratives that rarely find space to exist — for political, social, cultural or economic reasons.
We believe publishing is an act of cultural responsibility. Every edition is a choice about what deserves to remain, to be preserved, and to enter collective memory.
PROIBIDA doesn't speak for anyone. It creates the conditions for each author to speak in the first person — preserving the authenticity of their thought, their experience, their language.
The catalogue brings together editorial projects across geographies, cultures and disciplines, giving space to authors and communities whose work is often invisible or excluded from conventional publishing.
Books, manifestos, artist editions, serigraphs, posters, archives, photography and other editorial objects share the same vision: publishing what would rarely find a place anywhere else.
Not a catalogue of victims. A catalogue of authors.
Not illustrating social problems — revealing thought, creation and knowledge produced from places the world tends to ignore.
Every publication is a small correction to collective memory. What goes unpublished is still part of history.
PROIBIDA Publishing exists to question who decides what deserves to be published — and, above all, what remains unpublished.
